One to One Lessons:

Singing in front a complete stranger can be quite daunting for some people so Helen recommends an informal ‘trial’ lesson during which time you and she will have chance to get to know each other a little better.
It’s also an opportunity for a general vocal health check and to chat about your musical experience so far; what you want to gain from singing lessons; how you would prefer to measure your progress and what style(s) of music you would prefer to work with.
“I absolutely LOVE my singing lessons with Helen. I’ve tried a few different teachers and even tried Rock Choir but all of them left me feeling a little unsure of myself and I used to get stressed and nervous about going. Now with Helen each lesson is a blast! I can’t believe my progress… It’s made singing fun again and I go home flying high I can’t recommend them highly enough.” [T]
“Helen was my first singing teacher and I wouldn’t choose anyone else. I was so nervous to start but she instantly puts you at ease, creating a calm and safe space. Lessons were a joy and I always looked forward to my next one. The progress I made was amazing and I couldn’t recommend her enough!” [D]
How much do lessons cost?
• Trial lesson £27 per 45 mins

How often you come is up to you, however, Helen recommends lessons of at least ½ hour per week (or an hour per fortnight) as an absolute minimum.
How quickly will I improve?
Often pupils begin to see improvement in the first few weeks, however, how quickly you progress depends on how much practice you are able to do in between lessons.
Do I have to take exams?
No, you do not have to take exams unless you want to. If you do want to take an exam Helen will help you find an exam board that is appropriate for your needs.
* Please note that examining bodies typically charge exam fees. If you decide to take exams, these fees are not included in the cost of your lessons and will need to be paid seperately.
